After years of planning and months of unveiling bits and pieces, Tulane fans finally will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for seats nearly anywhere in Yulman Stadium starting Tuesday morning.
The Green Wave will unveil its full complement of seating options in the newly constructed, on-campus stadium at 9 a.m. Tuesday on YulmanStadium.com and TulaneGreenWave.com, as well as in person at the Tulane ticket office in the Wilson Center.
Three sets of premium tickets, requiring a minimum donation of $1,500, were the only sections of the stadium released before Tuesday.
Newly available ticket prices start at $100 for young alumni and $200 for the general public, divvied up by particular sections of the stadium. Alongside premium areas on both the east and west ends, donation-free season tickets to Yulman Stadium will be available ($200 per ticket) on the west side and the north end zone of Yulman Stadium.
The reserved seating area is available to all season-ticket holders — donors and non-donors — for the upcoming football season, which features six home games and starts when Tulane faces Georgia Tech on Sept. 6.
The north end zone will feature a Family Fun Zone ($300 for two adult and two youth tickets) and the $100 Young Alumni section. All 2014 season-ticket holders will have the option to commit to three- or five-year terms to lock in 2014 ticket prices and donation levels (if required).
All ticket orders and Tulane Athletic Fund donations made by May 15 will have priority on seat selections. Seating will be based on Loyalty Point totals; a minimum $75 annual gift to the Tulane Athletic Fund is required to activate points.
Seating will take place in July. All 2013 season-ticket holders and those who previously reserved seats are guaranteed tickets in Yulman Stadium if ordered by May 15.
While this set of tickets is the most affordable to be released in Yulman Stadium, it remains an increase from what Tulane fans have paid. In 2013 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the cheapest season ticket (in the end zones) could be purchased for $100 or $200 (sidelines), while single-game seats ranged between $20 and $35.
