Letters: Remember Landrieu’s sellout

In the Dec. 7 letter to the editor “Koch brothers behind anti-Landrieu ads,” the writer accuses the conservative Koch brothers of paying for “overly political attacks on U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu” and her support for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). The writer condemns these ads because they were paid for by the Koch brothers’ Americans for Prosperity.

Really? Has the writer forgotten the infamous “Louisiana purchase,” when Mary Landrieu sold out our state to Washington with her vote in favor of Obamacare? And even though this program went against the will of the American people, especially in Louisiana, Landrieu voted against her constituents and sided with President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act.

To add further to this disgraceful vote, ACA has proven to be an actual disaster, but Landrieu is unrepentant and says if she had to do it tomorrow, she would vote for it again. That is why her sellout against her constituents is now nationally (and laughingly) known as the Louisiana Purchase.

The writer disparages the pro-conservative Koch brothers of paying for a TV commercial refuting Landrieu’s antics, while liberal Mary Landrieu sells out the entire nation, including the state of Louisiana with her Louisiana Purchase vote for Obamacare. Enough said!
