Catch former LSU, current NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. on ‘Code Black,’ days after Super Bowl ad cameo

We know he can catch a football with one hand, but can he act?

Fortunately, Odell Beckham Jr. is playing himself on Wednesday’s episode of the CBS medical drama “Code Black.”

The New York Giants Pro Bowl wide receiver and former LSU Tigers star will share screen time with Emmy-winning actor Beau Bridges. The storyline has Beckham going to the Angels Memorial Hospital emergency room to convince his stubborn high school football coach, Pete Delaney (played by Bridge), to have life-saving surgery.

Also on tonight’s show, Meagan Good begins her recurring role as Dr. Grace Adams, while Bridges’ daughter, Emily Bridges, guest-stars as his character’s daughter, Mia.

Beckham, Baton Rouge native, also had a cameo in a Buick commercial airing during Sunday’s Super Bowl.

The show airs at 9 p.m. on WAFB, Channel 9 (cable Channel 7 in Baton Rouge and Lafayette) and WWL, Channel 4 (cable Channel 3 in New Orleans).
