Man robbed Friday evening in Tulane-Gravier neighborhood

A man was robbed at gunpoint while walking in a Tulane-Gravier neighborhood on Friday evening, New Orleans Police said.

The 37-year-old man was approached by an armed man at the intersection of Palmyra and South Gayoso streets around 5 p.m., police said.

The perpetrator took $150 from the victim and fled on a bike, police said.

Woman robbed at gunpoint in Broadmoor

A 27-year-old woman was robbed Friday evening in the Broadmoor neighborhood, New Orleans Police said.

The woman was walking on the 300 block of South White Street around 5:29 p.m. on Friday when an armed man approached her from behind, demanding her purse, police said.

The woman handed over her purse and the perpetrator fled on his bike.

Man shot Friday night in Central City

A shooting late Friday night left a 49-year-old man injured in Central City, New Orleans Police said.

The man was approached by an unidentified man with a handgun on the intersection of First Street and Claiborne Avenue around 11:49 p.m. on Friday, police said.

The gunman shot the victim and the victim was later transported to a local hospital, police said,
