Report: State Senator Troy Brown makes stop at courthouse in domestic abuse battery case

State Senator Troy Brown was in court today to deal with paperwork in the domestic abuse battery case he is charged with, according to a report on WWLTV.

Brown is charged with domestic abuse battery for allegedly punching his longtime girlfriend Katasha Willis in the eye during a Bayou Classic after-party in November. Brown is married, but not to Willis, who described herself to police as his "side friend" of about 10 years.

State Senator Ed Murray, Brown's attorney, said Brown can't remember hitting Willis because of a brain injury he suffered years ago.
