Police said the victim reported the vehicle missing from the 4600 block of MacArthur Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. A witness later identified Travis Boys, 31, as the man who stole the vehicle. An arrest warrant has been obtained for Boys on charges of theft of a motor vehicle worth $1,500 or more and illegal possession of stolen things over $500. Police investigate Algiers armed robbery New Orleans police are investigating an armed robbery that happened in Algiers on Thursday afternoon, according to police records. At about 4:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 6500 block of Berkley Drive, where two 18-year-old men reported they had been walking when they were approached by a white vehicle with four men inside. One of the men produced a handgun and demanded the victims’ property. The suspects took their cellphones and wallets before fleeing the scene. Woman allegedly raped by roommate Thursday A woman reported to New Orleans police that she was raped by her roommate Thursday, according to police records. Police arrested Charles Batiste, 46, who allegedly raped the woman at about 4:15 p.m. in the 2100 block of St. Roch Avenue. Armed robbery reported in St. Roch A 54-year-old man told New Orleans police that two armed men entered his residence Thursday night, searched it and then fled. According to police records, the burglary occurred just before midnight in the 2400 block of North Miro Street.
