Events featured in this edition:
• Compliments to the chefs: More than 4,000 people attended the Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s Boudin, Bourbon & Beer benefit at The Foundry. The benefit and Carnivale du Vin gala raised $2.25 million for the foundation. Forty chefs were represented from New Orleans and across the country.
• The Healing Arts: The eighth ARTDOCS Benefit Art Auction, held at the Art Klub on Elysian Fields Avenue, raised more than $29,000. ARTDOCS helps provide access to health care for New Orleans artists who are uninsured and of limited financial means.
• The Memory Project: Press Street’s Antenna Gallery opened Memory Project, a two-part international exhibition that explores the theme of memory and place through two post-trauma cities. The biography of New Orleans resident Anne Skorecki Levy, born in Lodz, Poland, in 1939, inspired this multigenerational project
